God Has Given You Great And Precious Promises

By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises...
[2 Peter 1:4, AMP].

"By means of these" refers to "by means of God's own glory and excellence." Your Loving Father, through His own glory and excellence, has given you promises - very great and very valuable promises. Two things define God's promises - (1) they are exceedingly, extraordinarily great and (2) they are precious, of exceptional value. Sometimes, by reason of familiarity or by reason of circumstances, one can forget how great and precious God's promises are. These promises have been fulfilled in Christ so you can receive them any day.

The promises that have been fulfilled in Christ allows you to receive the Holy Spirit. You can come boldly to God and have a personal relationship with Him as Father and child. You are guaranteed that He hears and answers your prayers. In the name of Jesus, you can do the miracles tat Jesus did and even greater. You can be assured that your Loving Father will never leave you or forsake you. You can rest in the unconditional love of God that is there in spite of your failures and shortcomings.

As you go through the Bible, you will encounter promises your Loving Father has made. All of these have been fulfilled in Christ. As your believe and receive the promises of God, your life will be shaped and transformed by the power in them.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your great and precious promises bestowed on me. Some times I forget how precious Your promises are. Some times I feel I do not deserve all Your promises. Today is my receiving day. I believe Your word and I accept all that Jesus Christ has paid for me. May Your word continue to transform me. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

God Has Given You All That Pertains To Life And Godliness

For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that (are requisite and suited) to life and godliness, through the (full, personal) knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence...

Peter writes that God has given us everything that is necessary and indispensable to life and godliness. The life here is described as “life more abundantly”. All those things can be yours through the relationship you have with the One Who is calling you to live this quality of life.

Godliness means to live like God or with God-like qualities. That is how God wants you to live. When you realize the impossibility of living that way, it becomes obvious that you must find the power source to live that way somewhere outside yourself. From these words, that power must be found in the knowledge of Him Who is calling you to live that way. This knowledge is a full and personal knowledge of God.

Today, your Loving Father is calling you to a personal relationship with Him. He wants to equip you with all you need to live a godly life and have life more abundantly. You can find instructions for those things that pertain to life and godliness in the pages of divine inspiration known as the Holy Bible. It is authoritative in defining how to obtain life and godliness. But the personal relationship is more than having a Bible. It is about reading and studying the word, spending time in prayer, worship and praise, and building your faith in Him.
Today, let go of all things that will hinder your personal relationship with God.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for your amazing love and great mercy towards me. Thank You, Awesome Father, that as you have me inscribed in the palm of Your Hands, it is only good plans You have for me.  I know that You want me to live a godly life. I pray, Almighty Father, that You continue to equip me to live the godly life. I pray for a continuous desire to spend time with You and get to know You in a deep and personal way. Nothing else should matter to me as much as my relationship with You. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

I Will Give You The Treasures Of Darkness

And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness—
secret riches.
I will do this so you may know that I am the Lord,
the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name.

God promised Cyrus "Treasures of darkness!" The expression does not mean that the treasures themselves are darkness, but that they were hidden in darkness until they were brought to light. The treasures promised to Cyrus were buried in darkness until they were broken up and given to him.

Are you going through a period of darkness in your life? Are you trying to look far ahead into your future yet you cannot even see light at the moment? Today your Loving Father says to you, "I will give you the treasures of darkness". The word "treasures" signifies not only something laid up and hidden from general view, but expresses an infinite, incalculable amount - an amount which can never be expended, but suffices for all your needs.

Sometimes the darkness in your life may be so overwhelming because you do not understand what is going on in your life. As a result, you wil not be able to see any beauty or any possible good that could arise from your experience. Your Loving Father is taking you to that point where when you look back at this period of your life, you will agree that the best work on your life was done during this period.

If you seem to be living in darkness and you doubt if God is still with you, do not be afraid. God will never leave you nor forsake you. Move on in faith and love. There is light and treasures at the end of the dark tunnel.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for giving me great and precious promises each day. I thank You for your love that is new every morning. Thank You my Loving Father, for the treasures of darkness. I know that You are making a way for me and You will reveal to me the treasures in any situation I may go through. I pray that You will strengthen me as I wait on You. I pray that the eyes of my heart will be enlightened to know Jesus deeply and intimately, and know the power of His resurrection. I pray that I will experience the sweet manifestations of His presence and love. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
