I was young and now I am old,
yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken
or their children begging bread.
When David shared these words, he was encouraging the good men who may envy the wicked, for it appeared that despite the wrongdoings of the wicked, they were still prospering. David was speaking from his experience, and was speaking of what happens in the long run.
There are times when you may find yourself in need of physical things, in need of direction, or you are in low spirits. You shall not be left alone. Your Loving Father will uphold you with His comforts, give you wisdom, and be the strength of your heart when your flesh and heart fail. His plans are to give you the future you hope for. He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Even as you do good and follow the ways of the Lord, your Loving Father, who is a rewarder, will never forsake you.
Prayer: My Loving Father, I give you glory and honour today. I know that when I call upon you, you hear me. You have never forsaken the righteous. I know that You will never forsake me. Thank You, Heavenly Father, for the hope and assurance I have in You. Be glorified and exalted, my Father, Amen.

Suggested Prayer Point for yourself - Pray for contentedness. Pray that God will help you to enjoy material things but to place a higher value on greater pursuits such as growing friendships, solid marriage relations, growing godly character, giving without receiving and other worthy goals. Pray that you will be content as you rejoice in the fact that whether you are in want or whether you have plenty, God will never leave you nor forsake you. Thank God for this treasured promise in times of need and in times of prosperity. Thank God that He will meet all your needs according to His riches in glory in Jesus Christ. Suggested General Prayer Point - Pray for those who sell their sexuality for money or favour. Pray that they come to the realization that sexuality is a God-given gift to express love, and that love can never be sold or bought. Pray that they come to love and forgive themselves. Pray for those who do this out of desperation. Pray that they will be know and be reassured of the true love of God.
