When they walk through the Valley of Weeping,
It will become a place of refreshing springs.
The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings.
The Valley of Weeping symbolized a place of dryness, dejection, barreness, labour and tears. This verse speaks of those who rely on God for strength and who have set their mind to walk with Him. These words, filled with hope and encouragement, is a promise that those who wait on God as they pass through times of difficulties, will experience a refreshing and the blessings that come with enduring the journey.
Are you or anyone you know walking through a period of dryness, disappointment, hard labour or tears? Prayer: My Loving Father, Your grace is sufficient for me at all times. As I walk this journey with You, I resolve to wait on You. I know that You can turn mourning into dancing and You give beauty for ashes. May I experience the refreshing springs and blessings that come with walking this journey with You. In Jesus Name, Amen.
