When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes. In fact, the Lord gave him twice as much as before!
Job had been in a season of misfortune. It was a long time of testing. He had three friends Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar. These friends started out as sympathizers but after seeing what Job was passing through, they stopped speaking right about God. In order that they may be right with God, Job had to intercede on their behalf. When he prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes.
It is the heart of your Loving Father that you pray for friends. This act indicates that you love them and have forgiven them. Your Father is better served and pleased when you do things that reflect His character. It is your loving Father's desire that you pray for your friends, in a right manner, filled with faith and love.
Suggestions for Prayer: Thank God for the word you have read today. Thank God that you have learnt something about Him today - His delight in brotherly love. This year, pray that you will be able to dedicate time in prayer for friends. Thank God that He is turning around captivity on your behalf.
