I Watch Over My Word To Perform It

Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.

When God spoke these words to Jeremiah, it was because Jeremiah had been very observant of the vision before him.  Jeremiah's mind was so composed as to be able to distinguish the details of the vision. Then God made the promise, "I am alert and active, watching over my word to perform it."

Today your loving Father says to you, "I am awake, without sleeping or slumbering, to carry through, to bring to completion, and to accomplish the promise I have made."

What vision do you have for your life? What word has God spoken concerning you? Can you find a word of God to match your vision? Your loving Father is awake, paying close attention to His word, to accomplish it in your life. He will hasten to accomplish His word in your life.

Suggestions for Prayer: Thank God that He neither sleeps nor slumbers but is alert and active, watching over His word to accomplish it. If there is any specific word of God you are running with, thank Him that He will hasten to perform it. Pray for sight this year, to be able to see yourself the way God sees you. Pray for a sound and composed mind, to be able to understand the vision God has given/will give to you.

One-Year Daily Bible Reading Plan - Jan. 29 2010 - Exodus 25-28 (OT), Matthew 27:1-31 (NT).

Suggested Prayer Point for yourself - Pray for a refreshing of the Holy Spirit. Pray that if there are times when your spirit becomes stagnant, maybe due to veering off course, not spending time in God's presence or falling into temptation, that you will have the desire to go back to God. Pray that the cleansing fountain of Christ's saving blood which flows from the cross of Calvary will spring forth living water to quench your thirst and invigorate your spirit. Pray that the refreshing of the Holy Spirit will help you renew and resolve your commitment to follow Christ all the days of your life. Supporting Scriptures - Psalm 42:1, John 7:38, Psalms 16:11.

Suggested General Prayer Point - Pray for singles who are believing God for a spouse. Pray that they may rest in the knowledge that there is a higher purpose in their singleness. Pray that they use their period of being single to develop a strong and intimate relationship with God. Pray that they may know how special they are, have a revelation of who they are in Christ, and develop the gifts and talents residing in them. Pray that the spouses God has prepared for them are seeking the Lord, developing spiritually and being moulded into the reflection of Christ.
