I Will Make The Crooked Places Straight

I will go before you and level the mountains (to make the crooked places straight)...

These words were spoken to Cyrus who was to be instrumental in the release of the Jews out of their captivity. He was to be a type of the great Redeemer (Jesus Christ). On his own power and might, Cyrus would have struggled. For Cyrus to achieve what he was called for, God had to go before him, prepare the path for him and empower him.

Your Loving Father has promised, "I will go before you to make the crooked places straight".  There might be some areas of your life that seem rough, crooked or even blocked. He will go before you and prepare a path for you. He will make your crooked places straight. He is at work smoothening things out for you. He is taking you into a season where things are going to start falling into place.

The promises that you may have been standing on, as your Loving Father is making crooked places straight, you will begin to experience those promises begin to come to pass. You will even get breaks that you do not think you deserve.

Start preparing for the breakthrough you will experience. Begin to declare that you are going to experience miracles in your life.  Your loving Father is the One who opens doors that no person can shut. Keep believing because God is going to make your crooked places straight and lead you down the path of blessing and victory in every area of your life.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for going before me and preparing a path for me. Though I may not understand or see it, I know You are working behind the scenes to make the crooked places straight and the rough places smooth. Give me Your strength to keep moving forward on the good path that you have for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Each Day The Lord Pours His Unfailing Love On You

But each day the Lord pours His unfailing love upon me,
and through each night I sing His songs,
praying to God who gives me life.

These words were written by the Psalmist in a time of great discouragement. He spent his days and night in tears and was taunted by enemies who asked where his God is. But he expected his deliverance to come from God’s favour knowing that though things were bad, they shall not always be so. He knew that God pours His unfailing love on him everyday.

It is easy to "feel" the unfailing love of God when things are moving smoothly. But should you pass through discouraging periods, you might wonder where God is. You might wonder that if He truly loves you, how He can allow you go through such a period. The love of God is not dependent on what you have or what you do not have. It is not measured by the kind of situation you are in. It is an unconditional love for He first loved you.

Your Loving Father reminds you today, "I pour My love on you everyday."  The love of God is free, it is not something you merit, but it is bestowed in a way of sovereignty. Open your eyes today to see and receive His unfailing love. Your Loving Father commands deliverance and commands the blessing. This He will do in the daytime, for God’s lovingkindness will make day in the soul at any time. Though weeping has endured for a night, a long night, yet joy will come in the morning.

In silence and solitude, when you have retired from the hurries of the world, appease yourself with the thoughts of God’s goodness. God is the God of your life, in whom you live and move, the author and giver of all your comforts. The love you receive in the day you ought to return thanks for at night.
Prayer: Loving Father, thank You for the unfailing love You pour on me each day. Thank You for commanding deliverance and the blessing for me. There may be times when I may not "feel" Your unfailing love. Help me to remember that Your love is more than just my feeling but is an unconditional love that remains with me no matter where I am. Today I choose to be conscious of Your unfailing love. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

Your Mouth Will Be Filled With Laughter

...God will not reject a person of integrity...
He will once again fill your mouth with laughter
and your lips with shouts of joy.

The Bible records cases of people whom God had once again filled their mouth with laughter. Notable amongst them are Sarah (who had a son in old age) and Job (who lost everything he had, but was restored more than what he lost). God is still performing miracles today, restoring today, and filling mouths with laughter and shouts of joy.

Today your Loving Father says, "I will not reject you. I will once again fill your mouth will laughter and your lips with shouts of joy."  Your Loving Father will not reject you. There are times when you need family, friends and fans yet they will not be there for you. But your Loving Father is always there for you. He does not disapprove of you. Because of Jesus, God does not deem you inappropriate for miracles or blessings. You are blessed above all the peoples of this world and you are His top priority for blessings.

Your Loving Father will once again fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy. God daily loads you with blessings. Do not bask in the last blessing you experienced. Once again, your mouth will be filled with laughter. Do not worry about what you have not yet received. You can trust God's word, God's power and God's timing, all working together for your good. Initiate your laughter today. Your Loving Father will once again fill your mouth with laughter and shouts of joy.

Prayer: Awesome Father, how great You are. I thank You, Lord, that You do not reject me but love me with an everlasting love. You have promised to fill my mouth with laughter. I trust Your word and Your power. I receive joy from You today. I receive laughter in my spirit and my body today. Thank You Loving Father for the great things You are doing in my life. Amen.

The Lover of God's Word Is Filled With Peace

Great peace have they who love Your law; nothing shall offend them or make them stumble...

Great peace have they who love the law of God. To love God’s Law is to desire it, to understand it, to live by it and to appreciate it. It is a cycle. You get the desire to read God's word through the help of His Spirit in you, and through prayer. You understand God's word by reading, studying, listening and meditating. You live by it by applying the principles that you know. You appreciate the word of God when you see the benefits and when you realize that God loves you and wants the best for you. This in turn makes you desire His word more.

Have you ever experienced a feeling of peace after reading or listening to God's word? Great peace have they who love the word of God. As you spend time with the word of God, you will have great peace - such peace as the world can neither give nor take away. It is a peace that passes all understanding. You may be in difficult situations yet enjoy great peace within. You will not be like those who love the world, who have great vexation, for the world does not answer their expectation. God's word is able to exceed your expectations.

As you spend time with the word of God, you will have such great peace that nothing shall offend you; nothing shall be a scandal, snare, or stumbling-block, to you, to entangle you either in guilt or grief. Rather your love for the word of God shall enable you both to hold fast your integrity and to preserve your tranquility. You will make the best of every situation, and not quarrel with any thing that God has permitted in your life. Nothing shall offend or hurt you, for every thing shall work together for your good. The love of God will reign in your life.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your word. Thank You for the assurance of peace to those who love Your word. Loving Father, I pray for a fresh desire for your word. I pray to learn and be dedicated to the things that concern Your word. May I continue to experience peace from You, which passes all understanding. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

The Righteous Will Never Be Forsaken

I was young and now I am old,
yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken
or their children begging bread.

When David shared these words, he was encouraging the good men who may envy the wicked, for it appeared that despite the wrongdoings of the wicked, they were still prospering. David was speaking from his experience, and was speaking of what happens in the long run.

There are times when you may find yourself in need of physical things, in need of direction, or you are in low spirits. You shall not be left alone. Your Loving Father will uphold you with His comforts, give you wisdom, and be the strength of your heart when your flesh and heart fail. His plans are to give you the future you hope for. He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Even as you do good and follow the ways of the Lord, your Loving Father, who is a rewarder, will never forsake you.

Prayer: My Loving Father, I give you glory and honour today. I know that when I call upon you, you hear me. You have never forsaken the righteous. I know that You will never forsake me. Thank You, Heavenly Father, for the hope and assurance I have in You. Be glorified and exalted, my Father, Amen.

The Name Of The Lord Is A Strong Tower

The name of the LORD is a strong tower;
the righteous run to it and are safe.

The Old Testament has various references where the name of the Lord denoted something of essence. For instance, the name of God is Elohim - the Creator. You can declare that God is Creator of everything, that He created you fearfully and wonderfully, and for good works for His glory. You can read more on the applications of the names of God here.

The name of the LORD is a strong tower for you, where you may take rest when you are weary, and where you may be lifted up above enemies and be fortified against them. There is enough in the name of God. There is comfort, health, wealth, protection and provision in the name of God.

You now in New Testament times know the full name that is the name above all others. God gave Jesus Christ the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father. Jesus' name is to you the source of salvation, a source of strength, and a source of safety. His name is a strong tower. When you call upon His name, and when you run to His name, you can be sure He will meet you at your point of faith. In Him you have everything that seemed to be in part in the different names of God.

Prayer: Thank You Heavenly Father that Your name is a strong tower where I find my peace and safety. Thank You Father, that I can call upon the name of Jesus Christ, the name above every other name, and everything, every situation, every challenge will bow down to the name of Jesus Christ. I declare that Jesus is Lord over my life. I thank You Lord for answered prayers, for in Jesus Name I have prayed, Amen.

Whatever You Decree Shall Be Established

You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light (of God's favor) shall shine upon your ways.

Today your Loving Father says to you, "You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you." To decree means to decide (reach, make, or come to a conclusion about something) with authority. There are certain situations that are not welcome in your life but seem like they plan to stay. It is time to reach a conclusion about such situations. It is time to decide in agreement with the word of God, and decree. You have the authority. This authority is your authority in Jesus Christ. God, your Loving Father is ready to back you.

It is also time to decree a thing concerning your future. Whatever you decree, in line with the will and word of God, it shall be established for you. God will guide and direct you, and then it will follow that He will prosper and make you succeed in all you do. God’s wisdom shall be your guide, His favour your comfort, and your ways shall be so under the light of God's wisdom and favour that you will enjoy what is present and a comfortable prospect of what is to come. Decree today with words, in faith and by prayer.

Suggestions for Prayer: Take out time to make decrees and declarations concerning any matter that can come to your remembrance. Pray that God will reveal to you areas where you need to make decrees, both for yourself and others.
