God Will Bring It To Pass

Commit your way to the Lord; trust also in Him and He will bring it to pass

This scripture for today comes from a psalm where the psalmist was advising the godly not to envy the wicked. Rather he advises that the godly should cast their cares on God, lean on, rely on, and be confident in Him, and watch God bring what the desire to pass.

Today your Loving Father says to you, "I will bring to pass that which you have trusted Me for." He wants you to trust Him completely. Though this may bring uncertainty and tempt you to take things into your own hands, believe that He knows the best way to do things for you. To trust in Him may not mean that you will do nothing. He will speak to you and tell you what to do if needed.

It is a sweet promise that He will bring to pass whatever you have committed to Him. Thank God for it.

Prayer: My Loving Father, thank You for Your Sweet and Precious Promises. Thank You that all I have completely cast unto You, You will take care of. Help me to realize that on my own, I cannot give myself the best solutions and answers except I am aligned with You. Today I commit [mention anything you will like to commit to God] to You. Thank You for the promise that You shall bring it to pass. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Delight For Your Soul

In the multitude of my anxious thoughts within me, Your comforts cheer and delight my soul

There are several situations that could bring anxiety and doubt into your heart. For instance, 30 minutes listening to the news could fill you with information about people losing homes, losing jobs, losing marriages, losing children, which leads to fear and anxiety. Sometimes, spending time to think about a situation you may be going through could fill you with doubt and fear. The world's comfort can only give you short-lived delights. In the scripture for today, the Psalmist speaks about his experience. When he had those unruly, many, perplexing thoughts, his soul was delighted by God's comfort.

Your Loving Father is so tender and compassionate and longs to provide you comfort and encouragement especially in the midst of difficult times. You can find comfort in His promises, His words and the remembrance of your former experiences with Him. His comfort will reach your soul, and will give you peace and pleasure which the world cannot give.

"The multitude of my anxious thoughts" - does that describe you? Your Loving Father does not condemn you for the anxieties and doubts you may have, but rather He sends you comforts to delight your soul. Today you can find comforts in the form of His Word, His Holy Spirit, a praying friend, family, a word or song to bring hope, an encouraging mail, or even an area where you can be of use in His kingdom. Open your heart to receive His comfort today.

Prayer: My Loving Father, awesome is Your loving-kindness towards me. You are always here with me and right on time, Father. You know my unruly, anxious thoughts and You provide me with comfort to sooth my soul. Today I have realized that the world cannot give me the kind of assurance I need. I look to You, my Father. I pray that my eyes and my heart will be open to receive Your comfort, which bring lasting peace and pleasure. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Go Inside And Shut The Door Behind You

...go inside and shut the door behind you...

The widow and her two sons were to be alone with God. They had to be isolated from everyone, separated from human reasoning, and removed from the natural tendencies to prejudge their circumstance. They had to be at that point where they were depending on God alone and in touch with the Source of miracles.

Most times, the methods and things you are used to could stand in your way of hearing from God, having faith and receiving God’s best. In walking with your Loving Father, do not be afraid when He takes away all the supports your normally lean upon, and remove your ordinary ways of doing things. He desires that you enter a secret chamber of isolation in prayer and faith, which is very fruitful.

When God builds a mysterious wall around you, know that He is closing you off to something divine, completely new and unexpected. It will be something so special and unique in the way He goes about it, that He needs you in a place where you can receive it. He needs you isolated from voices that would say you cannot have it, images that say you do not deserve it and any distraction to your faith. He needs you to be detached from outward things and be attached inwardly to Him alone in order to see His wonders. In such place of isolation, your intimacy with your Loving Father increases.

Are you in a situation where you find yourself drawn closer to God in a place of isolation? Are you at a point where you feel it is God alone that can help you? If you are, know that your Loving Father is leading you to an unpredictable yet special situation. You will enjoy the fruit of having your expectations coming from Him alone.

Prayer: My Loving Father, thank You for always desiring the best for me. When it seems I am going about things my own way, which could make me not receive Your best, You find a way of putting me back on the right track. Father, I pray that when I see Your wall around me, I will not fear or be anxious, but rather trust You and give in to Your plans for my life. I pray that when I am in a place of isolation with You alone, that I will learn all I need to and be patient to receive what You have for me. May I experience the sweetest discoveries of You this period. In Jesus Name, Amen.

The Joys Of The Journey

When they walk through the Valley of Weeping,
It will become a place of refreshing springs.
The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings.

The Valley of Weeping symbolized a place of dryness, dejection, barreness, labour and tears. This verse speaks of those who rely on God for strength and who have set their mind to walk with Him. These words, filled with hope and encouragement, is a promise that those who wait on God as they pass through times of difficulties, will experience a refreshing and the blessings that come with enduring the journey.

Are you or anyone you know walking through a period of dryness, disappointment, hard labour or tears? Have you come to a resolve that you will wait upon your Loving Father and walk the journey of your life with Him? As you wait upon God be encouraged that, by His grace, you will be able to walk through difficulties and discouragements, and overcome victoriously. That place you passed through which was regarded as a place of dryness and tears will turn to a place of refreshing for you. The comfort you received will be of benefit to others. Dig your pits today to receive the blessing of the Lord.

Prayer: My Loving Father, Your grace is sufficient for me at all times. As I walk this journey with You, I resolve to wait on You. I know that You can turn mourning into dancing and You give beauty for ashes. May I experience the refreshing springs and blessings that come with walking this journey with You. In Jesus Name, Amen.

The Lord's Plans Stand Firm Forever

But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever;[Psalm 33:11, AMP]
His intentions can never be shaken.

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where after making so much plans, things did not work out the way you planned? Such could have made you feel a sense of disappointment. You may have wondered,  "what else could I have done?" or "could something be wrong?" or "did I miss something out?" or "does God have something better planned for me?"

You may have had such questions, but there is one thing you can be sure of. It is that even if things did not work out the way you planned it, your Loving Father has His plans for every area of your life. His plans stand firm forever. He is the One who makes a way where there seems to be no way, and opens doors which no one can shut.  His intentions for you and your future cannot be shaken. As His plans unfold, they are always beautiful.

Your Loving Father says, "I know the plans I have for you - plans of good and not of evil. Plans to give you the future you hope for". These plans He has for you stand firm forever.

Prayer: My Loving Father, I know there have been times when I was disappointed that my plans did not work out, but such disappointments turned out to be blessings. Thank You, Father, that Your plan for my life stands firm forever and nothing can shake it. Thank You, for every promise You have purposed concerning my life will come to pass. I pray, Lord, for the ability to see an open window when the door of my plans have seem shut. May my heart be aligned with Yours. In Jesus Name, Amen.

The Place of God's Favour In Your Victories

They did not conquer the land with their swords;
It was not their own strong arm that gave them victory.
It was Your right hand and strong arm
And the blinding light from Your face that helped them,
For You loved them.

Israel had achieved many victories over the Canaanites, under the command of Joshua. These victories, they did not attribute to themselves or their merit, but to God's power, favour and grace.

Thank God for the many victories and achievements you have had. There may have been times when you attributed your victories and achievements to your own effort. You may say, "I worked so hard", or "I prayed so well", or "I gave my all for this feat" or "I planned things effectively hence the results". Though your Loving Father desires that you play your part in whatever you want from Him, His power, love, favour and grace makes the difference. Without Him, all your efforts and endeavours would have been fruitless.

As you start this new day, a day filled with promises, remember that your Loving Father is with you to give you new victories and achievements. His powerful right hand and strong arm, and the blinding light from Your face will help you, for He loves you.

Prayer: My Loving Father, thank You for my victories and achievements. Thank You for my testimonies. It was not my strength or merit that gave me victory. It was Your right hand and strong arm, and the blinding light from Your face that has helped me. Thank You for Your unfailing love towards me. I pray that I will continue to attribute my victories and achievements to You. I pray that my efforts will be crowned with You grace and favour, that I may bear good fruit to Your glory. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

The Lord Is Close To The Brokenhearted

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted;
He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

Brokeness is one of the means through which God performs some of His deepest work within our hearts. The Lord is near to those with a broken heart. Those who are broken in heart realize that they cannot do anything on their own. They realize that they are inwardly "shattered" and therefore need divine help. Those whose spirits are crushed are humbled for sin; they are low in their own eyes, and have no confidence in their own merit and sufficiency, but in God only. God prefers to use broken vessels in His service.

Are you broken hearted? Has your heart been torn apart by some events in your life? Has your heart been broken by someone you love? Does your mind feel the pain so much that you have trouble thinking of anything else? Do you sometimes feel crushed inside under the weight of what you are going through? Your Loving Father is right next to you. He is your ever-present help. He knows you, knows all you are going through and loves you so much that He is close to you at this very moment.

As you cry out to your Loving Father, rest assured that He hears you because He is very close to you now. He will not only hear your prayers but will give you constant comfort and strength. Allow God to perform a deep work in your heart. Watch as God uses you and your situation to His glory.

Prayer: My Loving Father, I thank You for being my ever-present help. I thank you Father, that you are at work in me through every situation I face. Thank You for healing me of any physical, emotional or spiritual wounds. I pray for an added sense of Your presence today and always. Amen.
