God Is Great And Awesome

Then I said,
“O Lord, God of heaven, the great and awesome God who keeps His covenant of unfailing love with those who love Him and obey His commands...
[Nehemiah 1:5, NLT].

These words here begins Nehemiah’s prayer [Nehemiah 1], a prayer that has reference to all the prayers which He had for some time before been putting up to God day and night for Jerusalem. He begins this prayer worshipping God. He humbly and reverently addresses God, and gives God the glory due to His name.

Your Loving Father is God, who keeps His covenant of unfailing love to those who love Him. Do not condemn yourself if you remember times when you have not loved God or expressed your love to Him. Rest in the knowledge that God loved you first and nothing can separate you from His love. The words "...with those who love Him..." refers to those who are building a friendship, affection and relationship with Him. It is an ongoing process.

As you draw near to your loving Father, remember that He is the God of heaven, infinitely above you, and sovereign Lord over you. He is great and awesome, infinitely excelling all the principalities and powers both of the upper and of the lower world, angels and kings. He is a God to be worshipped with awe by all His people. Draw near to your Loving Father in worship today. A worshipper of God knows whom he believes in and knows that God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all he can ask or think.
Prayer: My Loving Father, I come before you in worship for who you are. In all Your majesty and glory, You desire a relationship with me. Thank You Father. Thank You for Your unfailing love towards me. May I continue to worship You all the days of my life. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

God Will Crown Your Efforts With Success

In everything you do, put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success...
[Proverbs 3:6, TLB]

Your Loving Father desires to be involved in every aspect of your life. Nothing is too small or insignificant to bring to Him in prayer. Most people pray before a task "Lord, crown my efforts with success," but it is also necessary to "put Him first" by asking Him to "direct" you. By doing this, you put the task in His hands, and depend on His wisdom and power to complete it with success.
It is your Loving Father who can give you creative ideas. Each time you approach a task, remember that there is your way of doing it, and there is God's way. If you humbly and prayerfully give it to Him, He becomes responsible for seeing that it succeeds.

Do you sometimes face situations where you put in so much effort yet you do not get the desired output? Do you need to do something different? Then get your Loving Father intimately involved with what you do each and every time. God's plan is to prosper you and make you successful in every thing you do according to His will. You can lay hold of that plan as you commit what you do to Him, and trust Him to direct your efforts. Your efforts will be crowned with success.

Prayer: My Loving Father, thank You that the plans You have for me are to prosper me. In Your loving way, You desire to be part of all I do simply for my good. Forgive me for the times I have gone about my duties leaving You out of the process entirely. Teach me how to approach what I do in faith and confidence, instead of in fear and doubt. Thank You that as I put You first in everything I do, my efforts will be blessed, to Your glory. Amen.

My Presence Makes The Difference

But the Lord was with Joseph, and he (though a slave) was a successful and prosperous man...

Joseph [Genesis 37 and 39] did not have to be rich to be successful and prosperous. Though at that time he was a slave, he was successful and prosperous because the Lord was with him.

Your Loving Father's plans are to prosper you. He wants you to be successful and prosperous in every area of your life. His Presence makes the difference. With God, you can have peace in turbulent times. With God, you can have joy. With God, you can have hope, for with Him nothing is impossible. With God, a little project you start will begin to flourish. With God, things you have dreamed about will become a reality.

It is an honour to have God as a your Father. His Spirit living in you makes the difference. Make a conscious effort to regard and take advantage of the Presence of the Lord with you.

Prayer: My Loving Father, thank You for Your presence that always goes with me. With or without any possessions, I am complete and secure in You. May I always regard Your presence with me. May my life continue to manifest the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Open my eyes to see the difference in my life because of You. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

I Will Counsel You And Watch Over You

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you and watch over you.

Today He says to you, "I will give you the best counsel, opinion and advice and watch over you". You can trust Your Loving Father to give you the best advice and direction, for He sees beyond what you or anyone else can see.  In His plans to prosper you, He needs you to follow the right way. He desires to give you the blessing without sorrow added to it. He wants you to look back at today, some time in the future, and smile that you had made the right decisions today.

Are you at a point in your life where you need to make a decision? Are you getting confused with different opinions from people? Do you need advise that comes with peace?

Your Loving Father assures you that He will instruct you and teach you the way you should go. Call on Him today for advice and direction. He will also watch to know if you will take His counsel.

Prayer: My Loving Father, thank You that the plans You have for me are of good and not evil. Plans to prosper me and give me the future I hope for. There are times when I need to make decisions but I do not get an answer of peace. There are times when I need advice yet I search everywhere for counsel. Thank You for the assurance of direction and the best counsel. I pray that by Your Spirit, I will always remember to come to You for counsel. Teach me to how I can hear from You. Teach me listen to You. May You word continue to transform me that I may willingly obey You. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
(You can mention any area of your life where you need advise and godly counsel. Ask God for guidance and direction).

God Has Given You Great And Precious Promises

By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises...
[2 Peter 1:4, AMP].

"By means of these" refers to "by means of God's own glory and excellence." Your Loving Father, through His own glory and excellence, has given you promises - very great and very valuable promises. Two things define God's promises - (1) they are exceedingly, extraordinarily great and (2) they are precious, of exceptional value. Sometimes, by reason of familiarity or by reason of circumstances, one can forget how great and precious God's promises are. These promises have been fulfilled in Christ so you can receive them any day.

The promises that have been fulfilled in Christ allows you to receive the Holy Spirit. You can come boldly to God and have a personal relationship with Him as Father and child. You are guaranteed that He hears and answers your prayers. In the name of Jesus, you can do the miracles tat Jesus did and even greater. You can be assured that your Loving Father will never leave you or forsake you. You can rest in the unconditional love of God that is there in spite of your failures and shortcomings.

As you go through the Bible, you will encounter promises your Loving Father has made. All of these have been fulfilled in Christ. As your believe and receive the promises of God, your life will be shaped and transformed by the power in them.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your great and precious promises bestowed on me. Some times I forget how precious Your promises are. Some times I feel I do not deserve all Your promises. Today is my receiving day. I believe Your word and I accept all that Jesus Christ has paid for me. May Your word continue to transform me. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

God Has Given You All That Pertains To Life And Godliness

For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that (are requisite and suited) to life and godliness, through the (full, personal) knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence...

Peter writes that God has given us everything that is necessary and indispensable to life and godliness. The life here is described as “life more abundantly”. All those things can be yours through the relationship you have with the One Who is calling you to live this quality of life.

Godliness means to live like God or with God-like qualities. That is how God wants you to live. When you realize the impossibility of living that way, it becomes obvious that you must find the power source to live that way somewhere outside yourself. From these words, that power must be found in the knowledge of Him Who is calling you to live that way. This knowledge is a full and personal knowledge of God.

Today, your Loving Father is calling you to a personal relationship with Him. He wants to equip you with all you need to live a godly life and have life more abundantly. You can find instructions for those things that pertain to life and godliness in the pages of divine inspiration known as the Holy Bible. It is authoritative in defining how to obtain life and godliness. But the personal relationship is more than having a Bible. It is about reading and studying the word, spending time in prayer, worship and praise, and building your faith in Him.
Today, let go of all things that will hinder your personal relationship with God.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for your amazing love and great mercy towards me. Thank You, Awesome Father, that as you have me inscribed in the palm of Your Hands, it is only good plans You have for me.  I know that You want me to live a godly life. I pray, Almighty Father, that You continue to equip me to live the godly life. I pray for a continuous desire to spend time with You and get to know You in a deep and personal way. Nothing else should matter to me as much as my relationship with You. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

I Will Give You The Treasures Of Darkness

And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness—
secret riches.
I will do this so you may know that I am the Lord,
the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name.

God promised Cyrus "Treasures of darkness!" The expression does not mean that the treasures themselves are darkness, but that they were hidden in darkness until they were brought to light. The treasures promised to Cyrus were buried in darkness until they were broken up and given to him.

Are you going through a period of darkness in your life? Are you trying to look far ahead into your future yet you cannot even see light at the moment? Today your Loving Father says to you, "I will give you the treasures of darkness". The word "treasures" signifies not only something laid up and hidden from general view, but expresses an infinite, incalculable amount - an amount which can never be expended, but suffices for all your needs.

Sometimes the darkness in your life may be so overwhelming because you do not understand what is going on in your life. As a result, you wil not be able to see any beauty or any possible good that could arise from your experience. Your Loving Father is taking you to that point where when you look back at this period of your life, you will agree that the best work on your life was done during this period.

If you seem to be living in darkness and you doubt if God is still with you, do not be afraid. God will never leave you nor forsake you. Move on in faith and love. There is light and treasures at the end of the dark tunnel.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for giving me great and precious promises each day. I thank You for your love that is new every morning. Thank You my Loving Father, for the treasures of darkness. I know that You are making a way for me and You will reveal to me the treasures in any situation I may go through. I pray that You will strengthen me as I wait on You. I pray that the eyes of my heart will be enlightened to know Jesus deeply and intimately, and know the power of His resurrection. I pray that I will experience the sweet manifestations of His presence and love. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
