I Correct Whom I Love

...whom the Lord loves He corrects, even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights.

These verse of scripture follow advice for children of God not to despise correction from God or be weary of His admonitions. Whom the Lord loves He corrects, even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights. Your Loving Father does not want you to go astray. Rather He desires that you develop as you grow, and receive all that is your entitlement as His child.

Most times when there is an unexpected situation or a deviation in the plans of a child of God, "the devil" is blamed and the prayer is focused on "fighting the devil". Not every challenge is an attack, and even if God allows an attack from the enemy, He still keeps His protective hedge around His children. A situation could also be a consequence of disobedience, the pain necessary for growth, or God's way of getting your attention. For instance, God can allow the removal of a "god" in your life, so that you will get back on track in your walk with Him.

Are you in a place where you feel your Loving Father is trying to correct you and admonish you? Take it as an assurance of His love for you, for He corrects those He love. Should you face a situation which you do not understand, ask your Loving Father to explain to you what it represents. You can ask, "Could it be a way of making you grow? Could it be a chastisement? Or could it be an attack from the enemy?"

Prayer: My Loving Father, thank You for taking the time to correct me in love, because You love me. Knowing that You do not correct me to hurt me but because You want the best for me, I am encouraged ansd strengthened. Before I pray for any situation, may I remember to ask You what may be the cause of the situation, so that my prayers will be effective. In Jesus Name, Amen.

You Are Under The Sight Of God

Is there anyplace I can go to avoid your Spirit?
To be out of your sight?

You are always under the sight of your Loving Father. He is Omnipresent. No flight can remove you out of His presence. God is a Spirit, and though you cannot see Him, He always has His eyes on you.

No matter how high you go, how remote a corner you may be, how far away you think you are from God, He does not leave you. It is reassuring to know that no matter where you are, even if you feel lonely, your Loving Father is right there with you.

This should also make you wonder that when no one is looking, what actions do you take? Do you consider that the Spirit of God is with you? Do you remember that God has not taken His eyes and His presence from you?
Your Loving Father knows where you are at any point in time. You cannot flee from His presence. Should you feel that need to run away or feel that you are all alone, remember that your Loving Father is with you and you cannot get away from His Loving Presence.

Prayer: My Loving Father, Thank You for Your Presence. There may be times that I have thought You were not with me, but I am reassured that You are always with me. I cannot hide from You. Even as I rest in this assurance of Your unfailing love, may I always remember that You are always with me, even when I am not accountable to anyone. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

Your Father Rejoices Over You With Singing

The LORD your God is with you,
He is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.

These words of scripture are a promise to the Israelites in Jerusalem that God would bring about a glorious work of salvation for them. This promise has been fulfilled with the coming of Jesus Christ in the New Testament, and today you are a beneficiary of this promise.

Your Loving Father is with you today and always. He has given you salvation and He takes great delight in your life. His song proclaims to the heavens His eternal affection towards you. He rejoices over you with joy. The conversion of sinners and the consolation of saints are the joy of angels, because they are the joy of your Loving Father. That you have accepted His gift of salvation gives your Heavenly Father reason to rejoice.

He will quiet you with His love. In His love He will be silent and make no mention of your past sins, or even rememeber them. He is satisfied with what Jesus Christ has done for you.

As you start today, realize that Your Loving Father is rejoicing over you with singing. There is joy in heaven because of you. He is rejoicing and singing about His undying love and affection towards you. He is not ashamed of the love He has for you. Also remember that when you worship and sing of your love for Him, He is also singing His song of love over you.

Prayer: My Loving Father, Thank You for being with me and for taking such great delight in my life that You rejoice over me with singing. As You rest in silent satisfaction, I rest in the security of Your unfailing love for me. I pray that I would be able to silence the busyness of my life so I could hear Your sweet, soothing melodies. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
