Consider The Wonderful Miracles Of God

...Stop and consider the wonderful miracles of God!

Elihu, one of Job's friends, extols the wonderful power of God in the heavens and in all the changes of the weather. He suggests to Job to stand still in the midst of the calamity in his life, and consider the wondrous works of God [Job 37: 1-14]. He understands that we are not likely to consider things fully unless we stand still and compose ourselves.

Do you sometimes wonder about the intricacies, perfection, harmony, beauty and splendour of the things God created? If your Loving Father could go through such details for you and for things that are not human, it should give you a hint of His thoughts towards you. If He brings beauty and harmony in the weather, the things that concern you will not be difficult for Him to manage.

Stand still today, and consider the miracles of your Loving Father. As you consider His wondrous works, may your eyes be opened to His love, foresightful care and guardianship towards you.

Welcome to a new month. It is well with you and yours.

Prayer: My Loving Father, all around me, I see Your wonderful miracles. I extol You, my Father. I praise You, Lord for the things You have done. I stand still, to consider Your wondrous works and Your hand in my life. May I be able to understand where I am today in Your wonderful plan for my life. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

The Place Of Refreshing

...We went through fire and water,
but then You brought us out and refreshed us...

This Psalm comes from verses [Psalm 66: 9-12] that speak about what God had done for His people. He kept them alive, and they had gained victory over their enemy. God had given them a good leader, and had brought them out of a period of great trials. He took them to a place of great abundance and refreshed them.

The place of every believer is a wealthy place - a place of refreshing. Consider how you have been translated from a life of sin into a life of righteousness. Consider how you have been saved by grace and loved unconditionally by your Loving Father. That alone can leave you thanking God for such a glorious deliverance and such a bountiful heritage. But more awaits you.

Your Loving Father has promised that "when you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you". Can you think of any situation you have passed through that has resulted in a testimony? Can you think of any victories you have had with God?

Your place as a believer is a refreshing place. As you start today, may you receive a refreshing.

Prayer: My Loving Father, it is easy to forget the testimonies and miracles I have experienced with You. I thank You, Father, for lifting me up, for giving me eternal life and for the many testimonies I have with You. Thank You for the refreshing You have given me. Thank You for the wealthy place You have prepared for me. I bless You, Lord, for indeed You are awesome. Amen.

Calmness And Stillness For Today

He hushes the storm to a calm and to a gentle whisper, so that the waves of the sea are still...

Literarily, these words refer to those who were at sea and experienced a period of storms and waves. When they cried out to God, He calmed the storm brought them to their desired haven [Psalm 107: 23 - 30]. A similar situation can be found in the New Testament when Jesus calmed the storm and waves [Matthew 8:26].

Your Loving Father has calmed storms and stilled waves. He has brought peace and safety to many. It is His desire that you daily experience peace and joy, which are not dependent on what is going on in your life. He is the Living God who comes through for His children right on time.

Do you go through days where you feel stressed out, worried, or like there are so many things to manage? Do you sometimes find your thoughts going so far that they need curbing? Your Loving Father has hushed storms to a gentle whisper. No matter what is going on in your life or in your thoughts, it could only be better to a calm and still point.

Prayer: My Loving Father, You are great, full of power and majesty. The earth is Yours and the fulness thereof. As I start today, Lord, may I experience your peace and presence in all that I do. May I be still to know You are God through the dry days and the storms. By Your grace, may I manifest the fruit of the Spirit today and always. In Jesus Name, Amen.

No Need To Waver

He did not waver ... regarding the promise..., being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

These words of scripture are about Abraham who faced the fact that his body was as good as dead. He did not deny that fact. Yet he was not discouraged, because he was not looking at himself but at Almighty God. He was “fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.”

There are times when the facts and surrounding circumstances could be discouraging. You do not need to deny the fact. However, your Loving Father is the God of limitless resources and ability. He has the power to accomplish what He has promised. If you are unsure of whether what you desire is one of His promises, you can check the Bible, which is His words to you.

As you think on who God is, what He has done and what He can do, may you be fully persuaded that He is able to do what He has promised. You do not need to waver.

Prayer: My Loving Father, You are awesome, full of power and majesty. You are able to accomplish all You have promised, all by Yourself. As I make my prayers and requests known to You, I rely on You to fulfill Your promises in the way You know is best for me. Amen.
