Trust In God's Exclusive Responsibility To Help You

Asa cried to the Lord his God, "O Lord, there is none besides You to help, and it makes no difference to You whether the one You help is mighty or powerless..."

The odds against Asa's men were enormous. Zerah the Cushite marched out against them with a vast army and three hundred chariots [2 Chronicles 14:9]. It seemed impossible for Asa to overcome the vast multitude. There were no allies who would come to his defense. His only hope was in God. Asa, realizing his lack of strength, saw God as standing between the might of Zerah and himself. The result of his trust in God was profound. The Bible shows that the Cushites "were crushed before the Lord and His forces..."

Your Loving Father, God, works in His own strength, not in the strength of instruments. It is His glory to help the weakest and to perfect strength out of the mouth of babes and sucklings. You may be facing a situation that seems so overpowering that man cannot help you. In lesser trials, you may have the luxury of running to men, but now you need to cast yourself on your Almighty Father. It is His exclusive responsiblity to help you overcome any situation. Do not go to Him with your solutions but go to Him in total dependence, believing in His power.

Rest in the Lord. Believe that God is between you and that situation, and it will flee before Him, as clouds in the wind.

Prayer: My Loving Father, thank You for today. Thank You for always being there to help me. I confess that there are times I have tried to do things on my own. Today I choose to trust in You. I rely on Your exclusive ability and responsibility to help me. Amen.

You Are Not A Mistake

You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, You watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before You,
The days of my life all prepared
before I'd even lived one day.

Deep down inside each one of us, we carry a basic need to be loved, wanted and to have a sense of purpose in life. Should we suffer rejection from those who were meant to love us, this very foundation is shaken. The feeling of not being loved, of being abandoned or not wanted can cause you to have low esteem of yourself. Staying in the place of emotional abandonment can steal what is rightfully yours, your destiny and sense of purpose.

Today your Loving Father reminds you that your life is not a mistake. He knows exactly how you were formed, cell by cell. He does not love someone else more than He loves you. He cared enough that He took the time to write down your days in His book. Your yesterday was written in God's book. Your today and tomorrow is also written by the hand of your Loving Father. You are not just a number in His eyes, but one who is unique with a special purpose.

If you feel unloved , remember that your Loving Father always loves you. His arms are always wide open to receive you and embrace you. And if you are going through situations that seem to make you doubt the love of your Father, do not be moved. God has loved you with an everlasting love. Your today and tomorrow is also written by the hand of your Loving Father. His plan is to give you the future you hope for.

Prayer: Father, I thank You that Your eyes saw my unformed body when You made me in the secret place. Thank You that I have a special purpose in life and that all my days are written in Your book. Help me to always remember that it was You who planned my creation and not my parents. You wanted me to come into this world, and you have planned each day that I live. Help me to rest in Your unfailing love. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

Remember The Marvellous Things God Has Done

Earnestly remember the marvelous deeds that He has done, His miracles and wonders...

When you read the story of the Israelites that were brought out of Egypt, you may wonder how come they had doubts and entertained fear after seeing all God had done for them. But it still happens today.

Your Loving Father desires that you earnestly remember the things He has done for you. Pause for a moment to consider His great and precious promises. Consider the things He has said, and what He has already done for you. Think about how much He loves you that He gave His Only Begotten Son for you to be eternally engaged to Him. Think about His miracles and blessings to you and your loved ones.

As you remember His wonders, which should make deep and long-lasting impressions upon you, you will find it easy to praise Him, to give thanks to Him and call upon His name. You will find it easier to trust Him for the next steps of your life, for you will realize He is God Almighty, self-sufficient with unfailing love.

Welcome to this new month. It is well with you and yours.

Prayer: My Loving Father, thank you for this new month. Thank You for keeping me safe and healthy. I pray that nothing leads me away from you and nothing gets in the way of your presence with me. I remember the marvellous things You have done for me. I thank You and give You praise. You are Almighty God. In You I have no fear. Amen.

God Chose To Make Known His Mind In Soft Whispers

And after the earthquake there was a fire... And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper...

This occurred when Elijah fled for his life, after being threathened by Jezebel. The Lord found him where he was hiding. The Lord asked him to stand before Him. As Elijah stood on the mountain (Mount Sinai), the Lord passed by. Elijah heard a strong wind, he felt the shock of an earthquake and he saw an eruption of fire. Yet in all these things, the Lord was not there. At last he perceived a still small voice, in which the Lord was. It was through this that the Lord spoke to him. God chose to make known His mind to him in soft whispers, not in those dreadful sounds [1 Kings 19].

Today your Loving Father is speaking to you. He is speaking to you in soft, gentle whispers. There may be many things sounding so loud in the ears of your spirit, but He is speaking words of love and comfort to you today.

When you are about to do or say something today and you sense a gentle restraint from His quiet whisper, heed the restraint. If you have a quiet conviction to follow an alternative course, obey the quiet voice. Learn to wait on your Loving Father until He unfolds His will before you. Trust Him even when you cannot understand why.

Prayer: My Loving Father, thank You that You never cease to speak to me. Thank You that You are always with me to lead me on the right path. Enable me to hear Your gentle whispers amidst the loud sounds around me. Align my heart with Your will and Your plans. I pray, with the help of Your Spirit, that I will be able to obey Your voice when I hear. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

God Will Not Forget You

For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for Him and how you have shown your love to Him by caring for other believers, as you still do.

Good works matter in our salvation. What is done for people, believers and saints, God takes as being done to Himself.

Your Loving Father, knows how hard you have worked for Him and how you have shown your love to Him by caring for others. Be it giving to the poor, ministering to people, praying for others, enduring sufferings, God will not forget your labour of love.

As you continue showing love to God, know that God has promised of His own grace to reward your good works. It is His promise, not your merit, which would make it unrighteous if He will not reward His people's works.

Prayer: My Loving Father, thank You for being ever so mindful of me. Thank You for appreciating my works. I pray for strength and zeal to continue in working for You. I pray that Your word will give me a compassionate heart for Your people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

God Knows How To Rescue The Godly Out Of Temptations And Trials

...the Lord knows how to rescue the godly out of temptations and trials...

The Loving Father knows those that are His. He has set apart him who is godly for Himself. He knows that even the righteous go through temptations and trials. His wisdom is never at a loss about ways and means to deliver His people.

Are you trying to fight temptations in your own might? Are you trying to overcome a situation in your own strength? Do you some times get to a point where you are at a loss, and can see no way to go? Your Loving Father is concerned about your deliverance from temptations and trials. It is not His desire that you fall into sin or are ruined by troubles. Rather He wants you victorious over every temptation and situation.

If you find yourself struggling with temptation, ask your Loving Father for help. If you find a situation unbearable, ask your Loving Father for help. He knows how to rescue you from temptations and trials. He can also teach you how to avoid falling into sin.

Your Loving Father loves you, and is willing to help you whenever you call on Him.

Suggestions for Prayer: Ask God to help you if there is any area of your life that you are struggling with a temptation or trial. Ask God for wisdom and strength to overcome.

The Lord Shall Strengthen Your Heart

Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart...

When you speak to most people who have come out of a long trying period, they will confess that they did not know where they had the strength to hope or endure. It is God that strengthens the heart. Trusting God gives the believing hope of better things to come, which keeps one from fainting under trying times.

You may be trusting God for something and it seems a long time coming. On your own, it may not be easy to keep hoping and trusting Him. But as you wait on Him, by faith, prayer, and a humble resignation to His will, He will strengthen your heart. He will show you great and mighty things, things that will give you hope and sustain you until you receive your miracle. He will give you milestones that will make your testimony worth the wait.

Wait on the Lord and be of good courage. It is well with you and yours.

Prayer: My Loving Father, thank You for always being there for me. On my own, enduring is not easy but in you I have hope. Your strength is made perfect in weakness. Strengthen my heart and sustain my spirit as I wait on You. Help me to keep my mind fixed on You. (If you know anyone who is waiting on God for something, pray this prayer for the person). In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
