The Righteous Shall Eat The Fruit Of Their Work

Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds.

Prophet Isaiah in this chapter [Isaiah 3] was speaking generally about the the desolation that would come upon Judah and Jerusalem for their sins. But He also speaks of God's promise and assurance to the righteous, that it shall be well with them, notwithstanding the general calamities that was coming upon the people for their sins.

Who is the righteous one today? To be righteous is to be doing that which is right, and being free from wrong, guilt, or sin. On your own, you will fall short of being righteous. The righteous one today is one who has received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Christ Jesus is your righteousness, holiness and redemption. God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on your behalf, so that you might become the righteousness of God in Him. He paid the penalty of your sin and provides you with His very own perfections. His record becomes yours. This is why yor Loving Father loves each Christian as much as He loves Jesus Christ. For you who has received the righteousness of Christ by faith, you are counted as the righteous.

Your Loving Father says to you today, "It shall be well with you, and you shall eat the fruit of righteousness".  Many negative things may be happening around you but your Loving Father will preserve you. In the day of famine you shall be satisfied. You shall eat the fruit of your works and your righteousness. You will bear good fruit and your works shall be prosperous. Your Loving Father will increase the fruit of your righteousness.

Declaration: Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of righteousness which I have received by faith. I thank You for your unfailing love towards me, that You love me as much as You love your precous son Jesus Christ. I declare that I am covered with the robes of righteousness that Jesus gives to me. I declare that I am covered with the precious blood of Jesus and He lives in me. Thank You for when You look at me, You do not see what I used to be but You see perfect Jesus! In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

I Will Write My Instructions On Your Heart

"But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day," says the Lord. "I will put my instructions deep within them, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people..."

Many a times you may have a desire in your heart to do something, but you may be hesitant, with the reason that you are waiting on God to speak directly to you. It is God who has given you the desire. Because the desire comes from your heart, you may wonder if it is God who is speaking to you. Your path is to step out in response to that God-given desire.

Once you are saved, you have a brand new heart, and you can trust the promptings of your heart because your Loving Father dwells in you and He leads you from within. His promptings will never contradict His Word. It will lead you to good success.

Often, you find that when you follow your inner promptings, it is actually God who has put those desires in your mind and written them on your heart. The instructions are written deep within your heart. Because God has given you a new heart, He will write His desires on it. And as you fulfill these desires in line with God's will, you will bring forth fruit, and not wither and die. Whatever you do will prosper!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the new heart you gave me when I accepted Your gift of salvation. Thank You that Your Spirit dwells in me. Almighty Father, I pray that I will be sensitive to the presence of the Holy Spirit in me and utilize the great power residing in me. I pray that I do not walk in the flesh but walk in the Spirit, that I may be able to differentiate and respond to the desires which You have put in my heart rather than respond to my worldy desires. May You continue to guide me and show me the way to walk in. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

I Am Ever Mindful of My Covenant

He will ever be mindful of His covenant

God has established an everlasting covenant with you. It is a covenant of forgiveness of sins, change of nature, an eternal inheritance, and a direct relationship with God Himself. God bound Himself to graciously do certain things for His "undeserving" creatures, upon whom He lays certain conditions and obligations. Your Loving Father looks at His covenant with you rather than at your covenant with Him. His covenant shall not fail. He cannot go back on His promises. His own Son Jesus Christ ratified the covenant of grace with His precious blood, and God will therefore rest in His covenant engagements.

Your Loving Father will ever be mindful of His covenant, for He has ever been so. In times past, God never let a part of His covenant fall to the ground. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Though you may have your shortcomings, and may be unmindful of His commands, He will ever be mindful of His covenant with you.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your great compassion and enduring patience; that You do not treat me as my sin deserves but with Your never-ending mercy. Thank You for being ever mindful of Your covenant with me. From everlasting to everlasting Your love is with those who walk with You, who keep Your covenant and obey Your precepts. I pray that by Your grace, I will continually be mindful of my covenant with You. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

It Shall Be Well With Them That Fear God

But even though a person sins a hundred times and still lives a long time, I know that those who fear God will be better off.

It is easy for a child of God to get discouraged when it appears that a wicked person  is consistently doing unjust things and yet is not getting punished. It may seem that such a person has chosen a good path because of quick results that come with his actions. It appears that God’s patience towards such a person is prolonged. But your Loving Father does not want you to be discouraged.

As a child of Almighty God, if you fix your eyes and mind on Him, you will have peace and joy in every circumstance. The eyes of your Loving Father is always on you. Should you find yourself in a situation that seems to challenge your right as a child of God, rather than blaming God, submit to His will. Those who fear God will definitely be better of in the end. In the end you shall have a blessed deliverance from and an abundant recompence for your troubles. This is a promise of your Loving Father - that it shall be well with them that fear (and reverence) Him.

Do not worry about the wicked or envy those who do wrong. For like grass, they soon fade away. Like spring flowers, they soon wither. Trust in the Lord and do good. Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart’s desires.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray that You will teach me Your way and that I will walk in Your truth. Give me a pure, undivided heart that I may fear Your name. When I’m tempted to compromise my faith help me to remember that You want a pure heart, one that does not envy those that do wrong but is stayed on You. May I be strengthened by Your Spirit to trust You in every situation, for I know it shall be well with me who fears You. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

You Have A Delightful Inheritance

The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
surely I have a delightful inheritance.

As a child of God, you have a wonderful inheritance. Having Almighty God as your Father, who loves you so much, is not comparable to any material thing. The lines have fallen to you in pleasant places. Rejoice for because of Jesus Christ, whatever was a boundary to you or whatever may have caused you pain, has fallen. They have fallen in the name of Jesus Christ in whom there is pleasure forever more.

Indeed you have a delightful inheritance. You have a Loving Father who loves you so much that He gave His Son to take your sin, pain and shame, that you can have His blessings without having to work for them. Right now, as you are reading this devotional, listening to or watching a message, as you hear God’s Word, His power is released into your situation, working things out for you and turning your situation around for your good.

You have a Loving Father who is bigger than any circumstance or situation. Rejoice in His loving-kindness for you have a delightful inheritance.

Confession: Awesome Father, there is no one like You. Nothing and no one compares to You. I rejoice for it is a priviledge to be child of Yours. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. I rejoice for surely I have a delightful inheritance in You. Be glorified and exalted, my Loving Father. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

No Good Thing Will I Withhold From You

For the Lord God is our sun and our shield.
He gives us grace and glory.
The Lord will withhold no good thing
from those who do what is right.

Your Loving Father is a sun and shield. Should you have a dark hour, He will be to you a constant source of light and life, to enlighten you, to enliven you, to guide you and direct you. He will be to you a shield to secure you from the fiery darts of the enemy. With His favour, He will encompass you as with a shield.

Your Loving Father gives grace and glory. God gives you grace in this world as a preparation for glory, and will give you glory in the future world as the perfection of grace; both are God’s free gift. And if God will give grace and glory, you can be sure that no good thing will He withhold from those that do what is right. You may recall times when you must have fallen short of doing what is right. But because of Jesus, God sees you as righteous. However you should not take the grace of God for granted.

Whatever you desire or think you need, rest assured in the promise that your Loving Father will not withhold anything good from you. In due season He will give it to you.

Welcome to a new month. It is well with you and yours. Even as you start this new month, let it be your desire to walk uprightly, and trust God to give you every thing that is good for you.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You that no good thing will You withhold from me. Your Word is Your bond and I choose to believe Your Word to be true. Even when I don't feel like it, I pray that you will open my eyes to see all the goodness that surrounds me. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

There Is Strength in Quietness

...He went up into the hills by Himself to pray...

Jesus Christ had just performed a miracle of feeding five thousand [Matthew 14: 13-21]. Then He dismissed the disciples and went into a solitary place. Though He had so much work to do with others, He chose some times to be alone - to pray. Jesus Christ has set before you an example of secret prayer. When you find your heart burdened to pray, seize the opportunity to pray in secret, and pour out your heart before the Lord.

There is a calmness, restfulness, and holy peace that comes from having a time of quiet solitude away from the world. There is a special strength that is born in solitude. Crows travel in flocks, and wolves in packs, but the lion and the eagle are usually found alone.

Strength is not found in busyness and noise, but in quietness. The one thing you need today more than anything else is to spend time alone with God. As you enter into this new month, make “the secret place” a part of your life. Take out time to retreat from the crowd and busyness of life, to discover the power that comes from waiting upon God.

Prayer: Awesome Father, I thank You for preserving my life not only thus far, but for all eternity. Father, I know that there are times when I am caught up with the busyness of the day. But Jesus Christ has set an example of making out time to pray in secret despite the things He had to do. I pray as I spend time with You and your word, my desire and commitment to prayer will improve. May I continue to be strengthened as I spend time with You. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
