My Love Shall Not Depart From You

For though the mountains should depart and the hills be shaken or removed, yet My love and kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace and completeness be removed, says the Lord, Who has compassion on you.

The mountains were regarded as everlasting mountains, and the hills regarded as perpetual, continuing forever or indefinitely. We know that mountains have sometimes been shaken by earthquakes, and removed. These words speak of the steadfastness and integrity of your loving Father. The covenant of peace between God and you shall continue forever. God’s kindness shall never depart from you, for whom He loves, He loves to the end. He is the Lord that has mercy on His people. His covenant with you is immovable and unshakable, because it is not based on your merit (which is changeable), but on His grace and mercy, which is from everlasting to everlasting.

Do you worry that you may have fallen short of His love? Or are you going through a situation that makes you wonder if God still loves you? He says to you today, "My love and kindness shall not depart from you".
A Prayer of Thanks for God's Love: Heavenly Father, any words I speak or pictures I draw cannot fully describe your infinite love. Your boundless love reaches beyond the heavens and yet it penetrates my individual heart. It is only in experiencing a personal relationship with you that I begin to sense the inexhaustible and pure love that comes only from You. Even as the waves of the ocean are powerful and wash over the rocks, may Your abundant love fill my life to overflowing so that Christ’s love is seen through me. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

You Are Not Called To A Fruitless Service

I have not spoken in secret, in a corner of the land of darkness; I did not call the descendants of Jacob to a fruitless service, saying, Seek Me for nothing but I promised them a just reward. I, the Lord, speak righteousness (the truth); I declare things that are right.

You are not called to a fruitless service. The Lord will not ask you to seek Him if He cannot be found. He has not made promises in secret or in a corner for He does not plan to change His mind. He speaks only the truth.

Have you ever sometimes wondered if the service you were called to is fruitless? Sometimes, it may seem insignificant or not yeilding the kind of reward you want. Sometimes, it leaves you tired and wondering if you have taken the right path. Today as you seek your loving Father, you will find Him. His words to you today are "I have not called you to a fruitless service. I speak only the truth."

Be encouraged. Your Loving Father values your response and the things He has called you to do.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, there are many things that demand my attention, time, and energy. You have placed in me a ministry or service that brings eternal significance to others. As  go about it, I pray for strength, endurance and fervency, no matter the challenges I may face or if I seem ineffective. May I find fulfilment as I obey You. In Jesus Name, Amen.

New Things I Am About To Do

“But forget all that—
it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.
For I am about to do something new.
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland..."

Prior to speaking these words, God reminded the Israelites about the things He had done for them. He reminded them of His power and majesty. He reminded them that they had experienced and witnessed His great and mighty works [Isaiah 43:1-17]. These words He spoke to let them know He was going to do more for them. He was going to do something new - meaning it was different from what they had witnessed.

These timeless words, Your Loving Father speaks to you today and I paraphrase, "Don't dwell on the great things I have already done for you, it is nothing compared to what I am about to do. I am about to do something different. I have already begun. I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland..."

Yes, He will make a way for you in places no one has treaded. And He will create opportunities for you in places others might see as a waste. Watch out, He is about to do something new.

Suggestions for Prayer: Ask God to open your eyes to the opportunities He is creating and bringing to you. Pray that you understand that He can cause good to come out of a wilderness or a wasteland. Pray that you will hear and obey His voice when He speaks to you concerning the things He is about to do.

New Things I Now Declare

Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them. [Isaiah 42:9 AMP]

Today, take a moment to reflect on certain promises of God that have manifested in your life. Can you say that indeed they have come to pass? Your Loving Father is just beginning with you. Today He begins to make new promises, which will be fulfilled in their season as old ones were. He will bestow new favours on you, different from the former ones. Now He declares new blessings, including spiritual blessings in heavenly things. Yet, before they happen, He will tell you about them. Be ready for a season of new beginnings with Him. Listen to Him.

Suggestions for Prayer: Spend time today in thanksgiving. Thank God for the former things He has done in your life. Thank Him for blessings and favour so far. Thank Him for a new season of blessings, favour and promises in your life.

Eager To Show You Love

So the Lord must wait for you to come to Him
so He can show you His love and compassion.
For the Lord is a faithful God.
Blessed are those who wait for His help.

The children of Judah had been rebellious [Isaiah 30:1-17]. When they needed guidance and instruction, they did not consult God. Sorrow and calamity awaited them. God knew that only when they turn back to Him and ask Him for help will they walk back on the right track. He awaited their return to Him. He wanted to show them His love and compassion.

Your Loving Father is eager to show you His love and compassion. He is eager to bless you.  He desires your dependency on Him. He wants to give you wise counsel and direction. And because He is a faithful God, He will never take back His promises concerning you. Are you hesitating to go to Him? Are you waiting for His help or taking matters into your own hands?

Your Loving Father is waiting for you to come to Him today. He wants you to rest in Him and take His instruction. Remain blessed as you wait for His help.

Suggestions for Prayer: Ask God to help you identify any hinderances in your life that is preventing/will prevent you from going to Him unrestrained. Pray that He opens the eyes of your understanding to see His love and compassion in your life. Ask Him to give you direction for today.

I Will Be With You

But now, thus says the Lord, He Who created you, and He Who formed you, "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you."

These words were spoken to the Israelites. Many among them were stubborn and it seemed there was no hope for them to walk right with God. Yet God continued to love and care for His people.

God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. These words spoken are indeed a promise. He created and formed you - He will not forsake the work of his own hands. You are His and He calls you by your name - He has a special interest in you and seeks intimacy with you. He has redeemed you with the blood of Jesus Christ and set you apart for Himself.

He did not say there will be no times of difficulty, trials or times of distress. If they do come, He promises to be with you. His presence with you will ensure such situations do not overpower you, harm you or destroy you.

This is His promise to you, fear not.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you for your continued love and care for me. You have ransomed me by paying the price of Your son's blood. You have set me apart. I long to draw closer to you and today is a step to greater intimacy with you. May I continue to experience Your presence daily for I know You are with me always. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

Let Us Settle This

"Come now, let’s settle this," says the Lord. "Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool."

Scarlet and crimson were the firmest of dyes, and were not easily washed out. For sins to be like scarlet means they are glaring and habitual.

Do you worry that you have sinned and it's consequences are so glaring? Do you feel your sin is so much that it cannot be forgiven? Do you struggle with backsliding that you have even resolved to remain in it? Your loving Father says to you, "Come now, let's settle this." Once it is settled, it is forever settled. He has the ability to make scarlet and crimson white as snow and wool. Your works are not enough to cleanse you and change you, except you go to Him.

He has made provision to cleanse you and make you pure once again. Jesus Christ was the sacrifice used for the remission of your sin. Your repentance, acceptance of what Jesus Christ did, and surrendering to Him is the part you have to play.

Suggested Prayer: Thank God for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for your sins. Remind yourself of the love of God towards you. If you have not given your life to Christ and you want to, this is a perfect time to invite Jesus Christ into your life to be your Lord and saviour. If you find yourself backsliding or in habitual sin, seize this is a perfect time to confess and rededicate your life to Christ.
