I Look On From My Dwelling Place

I will watch quietly from My dwelling place-
as quietly as the heat rises on a summer day,
or as the morning dew forms during the harvest.

These words were spoken when the Israelites were in a time of distress. The Assyrians were going to take them as captives. Though God appeared unconcerned in the distress of His people for a time, He had plans to intervene on their behalf. He had plans to comfort and restore them, and deal with their enemies accordingly.

Do you sometimes feel that God is silent? Like He is an unconcerned spectator in matters that concern you? Today your Loving Father says to you, "I will watch quietly from My dwelling place...". He appears silent not because He is tired. It is because He has a perfect plan which must come to pass, amidst all the agitations and changes going on around you. He watches - He knows very well what everyone is doing and what He Himself will do.

Your Loving Father watches quietly over you. He protects you, takes care of you, and is a shelter to you daily. He has His eyes and heart on you with loving thoughts. He will adapt the blessing and comfort customized for you in every season you go through. It will be like a clear heat after rain - which is very reviving and pleasant. It will be like a dew and a cloud in the heat of harvest, which are very welcome. All of these will keep you flourishing.

When you feel like God is silent in your life, remember, you are not alone. He is watching quietly, awaiting the appointed time for the manifestation of what He has promised you.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for watching over me. Thank You for the assurance that even when you seem silent, You are here with and for me. Lord I pray for an added sense of Your presence when I feel all alone. Thank You awesome God, In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

One-Year Daily Bible Reading Plan - Feb. 24 2010 -Numbers 28-29 (OT), Luke 6 (NT).

Suggested General Prayer Point - Pray for those facing the end of their lives. Pray that God will give them a deep abiding peace and calm assurance in place of worry and fear as they are confronted with the circumstances that surround them this day. Pray for their loved one(s) that they will find a place of quiet rest near the heart of God. Pray that they will be able to trust God for things they cannot understand and to search the Scriptures for things God wants them to fully comprehend on this side about life and death.
